| Well, incase you haven't figured it out yet I only post when there is something that I consider "new or exciting". Today we spent about 10 hours in the car driving and finally arrived around 6:00 PM. So far the trip has been well worth it it has snowed about 5" since we arrived. Our accommodations are wonderful and they even have high speed Internet. We went out to eat at this really good restaurant that had a great view out off of their patio and I think about an inch of snow fell while we were eating. The food was so good. I was going to split a half rack of ribs and an elk burger, but as it turns out they were fresh out of elk. I was saddened. We are planning to hit the slopes about 8:30 tomorrow. Pray for me that I don't break any thing! That's all for now, but there will probably be more to come. | | |

| Well, being new to the Xanga world I was unaware that you cannot go
back and add comments once a date has passed. This was rather
disappointing to me as I am often too tired to write on the days when
the most exciting stuff is going on. Like this past weekend for
instance. Saturday Jeanna and I drove to Norman to go to see
the OU Mens Basketball team play (Sooners Downed Coppin State, 57-47) and
see some of Jeanna's family. On a side note...I would like to just take
a moment to make it known that Edmond is way better than Norman. It
takes forever to get anywhere and people there think that Norman is
sooooo great, but it's not. After the B-ball game we had to rush back
to OKC because I had been begging Jeanna to go with me to the 2nd
annual Devon energy Boat parade. In case yo are unaware of the goings
on involved with the boat parade here are some specifics:
Devon Energy Holiday River Parade on the Oklahoma River
Background: Sponsored
by Devon Energy, the 2nd annual Holiday River Parade on the Oklahoma
River will light up downtown on Saturday, December 10th. Over 40 boats,
decorated in holiday lights, will parade the river as a spectacular
fireworks display adorns the sky.
Boat Entry: The
deadline to have your boat entered in the parade is noon on Wednesday,
December 7th. Entry forms are available from most metro area boat
dealers or online at okcevents.info
Viewing Location: The
main viewing area is the Riverfront at Wiley Post Park at S.W. 20th and
Robinson. Also, there's a viewing area at Regatta Park on Byers Ave.
The parade itself will begin from Regatta Park and travel up river to
Wiley Post Park and back again.

It was really great, We made it just in time to get a great spot
across the river from the Regatta Park. We had to drive across some
railroad tracks and a big ditch, but we ended up under the Byers Ave.
Bridge with a great view of the river and all of the boats getting
lined up for the parade. There were thousands of people just across the
river (about 35,000 to be exact) and there were helicopters and
spotlights set up all along the river casting colorful beams all over
the nights sky. about the time we got all settled in the parade
started. there were something like 40 boats in the parade, and they
were all different. There were big boats that chugged along and speed
boats that shook the car when they rev ed their engines, sail boats and
even some boats that weren't boats at all. One guy bought one of the
sky tram cars from the state fair and made it into a boat for the state
fair committee. it was six tram cars supported on 12 pontoons and all
light up. It was pretty original. My favorite boat was a open bow ski
boat that was pulling a inflatable snowman on a tube and instead of a
ski rope they used white rope lights to pull the snowman. It was a
really good time. after all the boats went by we drove down to Will
Rodgers Park and watched from the skate park for awhile and then we
went out on a pedestrian bridge right over the middle of the river, so
we could look down and be right by the boats as they passed by. Lots of
the people on the boats waived and stuff. There was a really great
fireworks show wen the parade was over. We were about 1000 yards from
where they were setting them off and it looked like they were going to
come down on where we were parked a couple of times, but it was just
and illusion. If you have never been I would highly encourage you to
check it out next year. especially if you like boats like I do. The
evening was concluded with Chinese food and me eating way more than I
needed to. It was a great day! | | |

Ok to those of you who have been pestering me to actually
write something on Xanga...Let it be known I am giving in. I was perfectly
content with it just the way it was uncluttered with words and such, but I
guess a couple of paragraphs can't clutter it up too bad. Well today was the
day. Tonight Jeanna and I embarked on the ever so short trip to the Harkins
theatre in the town of Brick Aka.
Bricktown. I have been patiently waiting to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of
Fire. For those of you who know me well this was quite a feat. It was highly
anticipated, but I wanted to wait until tonight to avoid the crowds and truly
enjoy the experience. It was my fist time to see a movie on the "Cine
Capri" which translated means really really big screen. Let me tell ya it
was BIG. I however was not overly impressed. The movie however was great; I
really enjoyed it and had a enjoyable time. We also patronized the Spaghetti Warehouse
with coupon in hand and the Marble Slab Creamery. On the way home I was
astounded that all of the songs on the radio were songs I really liked and was
making a note to myself that this was a rather odd occurrence. That was about
the time that I realized that the radio gods were not smiling down on my
vehicle, and that I had in fact just failed to remember that I had removed Cold
play and given a little playtime to the random unmarked CD from the center
console on my way into town this weekend.
